Ilha Bela Transporte Marítimo has 28 years of experience carrying passengers between Salvador and Morro de São Paulo, establishing itself as a trusted maritime transport operator in Bahia. Over almost three decades, we have built a track record of safety, punctuality and quality passenger service.

Safety at our roots

Founded by a Navy reserve officer, the company embodies the discipline, responsibility and technical rigour of its founder’s military training. This heritage shapes our operations: we prioritise the safety and wellbeing of our passengers and crew, safe navigation and the protection of human life at sea, in compliance with the Maritime Authority’s regulations in our area of jurisdiction.

Our service currently operates with two catamarans, designed to offer greater stability, comfort and safety throughout the crossing. This allows our customers to travel between Salvador and Morro de São Paulo, in either direction, with peace of mind and convenience, whether for tourism, work or everyday journeys.

We have a team of qualified professionals and carefully planned operating procedures to ensure efficient boarding and disembarkation. Preventive vessel maintenance and compliance with maritime safety regulations are ongoing management priorities.
